Leader McConnell Meets with Secretary of Defense Nominee Patrick Shanahan
LOUISVILLE, KY – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement after yesterday’s meeting with the president’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, Patrick Shanahan:
“I met with Acting Secretary of Defense Shanahan on Thursday to discuss ongoing military operations, efforts to rebuild our military readiness and modernize our forces, as well as major security threats to our national interests. I look forward to supporting his nomination.”
