McConnell on President’s Emergency Hurricane Harvey Funding Request

LOUISVILLE, KY– Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued the following statement today after the President submitted an emergency supplemental funding request for Hurricane Harvey relief:

“Today the President submitted a supplemental emergency funding request to Congress to help Texas and the Gulf Coast recover from the horrific devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Working closely with the President and the House of Representatives, the Senate stands ready to act quickly to provide this much-needed assistance to those impacted communities, and support first responders and volunteers."
