McConnell Meets with Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson, M.D.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement after meeting with the president’s nominee for Secretary of the Veterans Administration (VA), Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson, M.D.:
“I enjoyed meeting with Dr. Jackson and discussing the important work to be done on behalf of our nation’s veterans. Through the VA, we should be doing everything we can to fulfill our commitments to veterans and their families — like the more than 300,000 veterans who call Kentucky home. I look forward to working with Dr. Jackson to build on the progress we’ve made in expanding accessibility and improving accountability at the VA, and to supporting his nomination.”
