McConnell Applauds President Trump’s Historic Announcement on Israel-UAE Relations

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued the following statement today regarding President Trump’s announcement on Israel-UAE Relations:

“President Trump and his Administration deserve great credit for bringing about this historic step forward for the Middle East. The commitment to normalize relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates represents tremendous progress toward greater peace and prosperity across the region. I commend Prime Minister Netanyahu and Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed for their leadership, vision, and hard work to find common ground. I hope other Arab states will seize on this momentum and take similar steps to normalize their ties with Israel and bring about a more peaceful region.”
